Hustle4Info: Gerrymandering in the US Election

When politicians currently in power redraw district lines and are accused of gerry rigging the votes for their ‘seats’ by drawing it around areas that support them or cutting out areas that do not. The case is before the Supreme Court.

Gerrymandering is not about representative democracy and will lead to ‘fiefdoms’ or little kingdoms for the politicians. It is a selfish non-partisan action for personal power.

The implications of gerrymandering can be explained in terms of demographics, population density and of course party registration. A high school class examines the issue.
