What is BREXIT?

Brexit stands for Britain’s Exit (from the EU). Why now?

This news clip in 2009 talks about the burden of immigration from Europe and beyond, to Britain as the British economy also slows down.

More recently,

Britain has chosen to leave the European Union. The European Union is an agreement among countries in Europe that is more than simply free-trade — it removes all sorts of other red-tape such as immigration.
